Sofia Cangiano

Client Services Team Lead at NGP VAN

Sofia Cangiano has a diverse work experience ranging from client services to political organizing. Sofia is currently working at NGP VAN as a Client Services Team Lead, a position they have held since March 2023 after starting as a Client Services Specialist in August 2021. Prior to that, Sofia worked as a Data and Voter File Manager for the New York State Democratic Party from October 2019 to August 2021. Sofia also served as an Iowa Field Organizer for Beto For America from May 2019 to October 2019 and was part of the Community Outreach Team at Shared Value Media from March 2019 to May 2019. Sofia's experience also includes working as a Freelance Translator and Transcriptionist for Nove Colonne News Agency and Self-employed from April 2016 to May 2019, where they translated daily articles and provided video transcription and subtitling services. Sofia briefly served as the Queens Borough Director for Michael Blake for NYC from January 2019 to April 2019. Additionally, Sofia worked for the New York State Democratic Party as a Regional Field Organizer from August 2018 to January 2019 and as a Summer Fellow from June 2018 to August 2018. Prior to that, they gained experience as an Exhibition Assistant (Intern) for "Korea: The Forgotten War" at Legasee from November 2015 to April 2016.

Sofia Cangiano has a Master's Degree in Art Galleries and Museum Studies from The University of Manchester, obtained from 2015 to 2016. Sofia also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Art History and Spanish from the University of Sussex, completed from 2010 to 2015. Additionally, Sofia completed an ERASMUS program in Art History at Universidad de Salamanca from 2013 to 2014. In 2021, they obtained a certification in Data Analytics from General Assembly through their online program.
