James Weaver has extensive experience in officiating and leadership within both the sports and engineering sectors. Currently serving as a Video Goal Judge for the National Hockey League since February 1994 and as the Mid-American District Referee-in-Chief for USA Hockey since November 1973, James also holds certifications as a USA Hockey Level 4 Referee and has acted as a Local Supervisor of Officials. In the engineering field, James has been involved with the American Society of Highway Engineers since 1984, including roles as Past Section President and Secretary. Additional positions include Director of Sales, Marketing and Special Projects at Jeff Zell Consultants, and leadership roles within the Construction Legislative Council and Western Pennsylvania Hockey Officials Association. James holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Duquesne University.
