Andy Beavis

Andy Beavis is currently the Chief Science Officer at Vertual Ltd, where they focus on improving Radiation Therapy and educational safety. They founded Vertual Ltd in 2007, creating VERT, a virtual training system for radiographers and radiation oncologists. In addition to this role, Andy serves as a Professor at UCL and Hull York Medical School, contributing to academic advancement since 2023. Additionally, they have been the Head of Radiation Physics at Hull and East Yorkshire NHS Trust since 1992, leading the Radiation Physics service. Andy holds a BSc and a PhD in Physics from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
