Frederic Picard has a diverse background in orthopedic surgery and engineering, starting with an undergraduate degree in Medicine from Université de Franche-Comté and an M.D. from Université Grenoble Alpes. Experience includes roles as an Attending Orthopaedic Surgeon at Université Grenoble Alpes, Project Manager in Computer Assisted Orthopaedic Surgery at Aesculap, and Consultant Orthopaedic and Research at NHS since 2005. Further contributions have been made as a Visiting Scholar at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and a Visiting Researcher at Carnegie Mellon University's Robotics Institute. Picard has also served as a Consultant in a private practice, an External Lecturer at Centrale-Santé, and developed engineering systems at UPMC's Joint Reconstruction Shadyside Hospital. Currently, Picard holds the position of Honorary Professor at the University of Strathclyde BME.
