Gail Allsopp

Gail Allsopp is the Chief Medical Advisor at the Department for Work and Pensions, dedicated to improving healthcare through evidence-based, personalized care. With nearly 30 years of experience in primary and secondary care, education, and health policy, Gail has served as an interim Chief Medical Officer at the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence and as a clinical associate professor at the University of Nottingham. Initially training as a surgeon and practicing in various sectors including the NHS and charity organizations, Gail continues to work as an NHS GP and holds fellowships with the Royal College of General Practitioners and the Faculty of Leadership and Management.
