Imran Ahmed currently serves as the Director of Innovation at Southtyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust since September 2020. Previously, Imran held the position of Locum Neonatal Consultant at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust from September 2013 to June 2014 and worked at City Hospitals Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust from September 2016 to September 2018 as both Neonatal Lead for Clinical Governance and Deputy Director of Innovation (Devices and Digital Pathways). Imran is also the Neonatal Life Support (NLS) Director for the NHS since March 2010 and has been a Neonatal Consultant at Southtyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust since June 2014. Imran's entrepreneurial experience includes ownership of Mezbaan South Indian Restaurant from January 2008 to May 2011, where responsibilities included promotion and marketing. Imran Ahmed earned a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) from Karnatak University in 1996 and achieved the FRCPCH designation from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health between 2010 and 2020.
