Joanna Higgins

Joanna Higgins is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic, Hand and Wrist Surgeon with extensive experience in various NHS roles. Joanna served as a Trauma and Orthopaedic Registrar at multiple hospitals from 2011 to 2018 before transitioning to their current position as Deputy Director of Medical Education at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust in 2024. Alongside clinical practice as an Orthopaedic Surgeon for the NHS since 2021, Joanna also works as a Surgical Tutor for The Royal College of Surgeons of England and as an Expert Witness for British Medical Experts since 2023. Recently, Joanna has been pursuing a Master's degree in Orthopaedic Engineering from Cardiff University, expecting to graduate with distinction.
