Matt Patterson

Matt Patterson is a GP Specialty Trainee with the NHS since August 2022, previously working as an A&E Registrar. Matt's experience includes roles as a Ship Doctor for Carnival UK and an ICU Doctor at the NHS, alongside emergency medicine residency at Queensland Health. Notable previous positions involved full-time locum work as an SHO during the COVID-19 pandemic and foundational roles across various medical specialties. Before entering the medical field, Matt accumulated extensive maritime experience, serving in various positions from Second Officer to Third Officer, managing operations and safety on vessels. Matt holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Newcastle University, and is currently pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Sport & Exercise Medicine at the University of South Wales.
