Michelle Comrie

Michelle Comrie is a dedicated midwife with extensive experience in the healthcare sector, particularly in maternity and neonatal services. Currently serving as the LMNS Equity Lead at SHIP LMNS Southampton Hampshire Isle of Wight Local Maternity & Neonatal Services, Michelle is focused on establishing an equity steering group and publishing a regional equity and equality action publication. Previous roles include midwifery at HCA Healthcare, where responsibilities included caring for women in labor and providing postnatal support, as well as antenatal education at Little Expectations, offering evidence-based information to expectant parents. Michelle has held various positions within the NHS, including Shift Lead at the Birth Centre at The Princess Anne Hospital, where significant experience was gained in handling high volumes of births and providing continuous support to antenatal women. Educationally, Michelle holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in History and Psychology, and a First-Class Honours Bachelor of Midwifery, both from the University of Southampton.
