Patrick Avery

Medical Doctor

Patrick Avery is a General Practitioner in the UK, currently serving a rural community in Wiltshire while also working as an expedition medic, notably with the BBC Natural History Unit. Patrick previously completed two years of Surgical Training and passed the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons examinations. With a strong interest in travel and expedition medicine, Patrick holds a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and is currently in the second year of a distance learning MSc in Global Health and Infectious Disease through Edinburgh University. Patrick earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Cancer Biology and Immunology and an MBChB in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Bristol, where they graduated with distinction.
