Prof Taj Nathan

Prof Taj Nathan is a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist with extensive experience in the NHS, where they served as a Junior Doctor from 1992 to 2001 before becoming a consultant in 2001. They are currently a Visiting Professor at the University of Chester and an Adjunct Professor at Liverpool John Moores University. Additionally, Prof Nathan leads the Specialty Research Group in Mental Health for the NIHR Clinical Research Network, serves as the Director of Research & Effectiveness at Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, and works as a medico-legal psychiatric expert with Forensic Psychiatry Limited. They are also an author and provide expert advice for television and film projects through the Curtis Brown Group. Prof Nathan holds multiple degrees, including an MMedSc in Psychiatry from the University of Leeds and a DipForensSc and MD in Forensic Psychiatry from the University of Liverpool.
