Roxane Jo Hillier

Roxane Jo Hillier is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Vitreoretinal Surgeon with extensive experience in the field. They currently serve as Section Editor for the British Journal of Ophthalmology and as a Council Member for the Oxford Ophthalmological Congress. Roxane is also involved with multiple professional organizations, including the European Society of Retina Specialists and the British and Eire Association of Vitreoretinal Surgeons, where they hold roles as a Vitreoretinal Section Committee Member and Board Member, respectively. Additionally, Roxane has held the position of Research Lead for Ophthalmology at The Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust since 2020 and is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Newcastle University. Their education includes degrees from prominent institutions, such as the University of St. Andrews and The University of Edinburgh.
