Sarah Jacques is a dedicated healthcare professional and advocate with over 20 years of experience in medicine, focusing on health inequalities in rural communities. After serving as a GP for 18 years in East Sussex, Sarah stepped back from clinical work in 2022 due to burnout, but has since returned part-time. They currently hold the position of Co-GP Lead at the Doctors' Association UK and serve as Joint Campaigns Officer for the Medical Women’s Federation, advocating for vital reforms in healthcare. In 2023, Sarah founded Sussex Outreach Support CIC to improve access to services in rural areas, inspired by their experience hosting Ukrainian families. In addition to their clinical work and community engagement, Sarah continues to support initiatives aimed at reducing loneliness and poverty.
