Steve Coates is a Consultant Clinical Neurophysiologist at NHS and the CEO of TeleEEG, a UK charity dedicated to facilitating EEG technology and training for epilepsy diagnosis in developing countries. Since its inception in 2011, TeleEEG has successfully diagnosed over 15,000 cases and established 38 new clinics across 17 countries, supported by a team of 72 volunteer interpreters specializing in neurophysiology. Before joining the NHS, Steve served as a Flight Lieutenant Engineering Officer in the Royal Air Force, where responsibilities included leading the UK contingent of the Mission Control Team for satellite communications. Steve is currently pursuing a degree in medicine and several professional qualifications at various institutions, including the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and Cranfield University.
