Vian Azzu

Vian Azzu is an Executive Medical Director and Consultant Hepatologist with extensive experience in clinical and translational research, particularly in immunometabolic diseases. They served as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Cambridge from 2015 to 2020, investigating the pathogenesis of conditions such as NAFLD and diabetes. Vian has held various academic and leadership positions, including Fellow at St Edmund's College and Clinical Lecturer in Hepatology, and has contributed significantly to the fields of hepatology and metabolic disease during their tenure at AstraZeneca. They hold multiple degrees from the University of Cambridge, including a PhD in Biochemistry and an MPhil in Translational Medicine.
