Daniel Root

Regional Forester

Daniel Root is an environmental professional with a diverse background in ecological monitoring, sustainable development, and forestry. With experience from organizations such as rare Charitable Research Reserve, Nith Valley Organics, and Grupo GEA, Daniel has held various roles including Ecological Monitoring Intern and Assistant Farm Manager. Education includes a Master of Forest Conservation from the University of Toronto, a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo, and a certificate in Environmental Field Skills from Fleming College. Currently, Daniel serves as a Regional Forester for the Niagara Region, with previous positions as Forest Technician and Consulting Forester at Williams & Associates Forestry Ltd. and Pryor & Rickett Silviculture.
