Mohamed Sayed

Mohamed Sayed is a Senior Research Scientist at Niantic, Inc. since April 2023, focusing on 3D Reconstruction, Depth Estimation, Novel View Synthesis, and Generative Models. Prior to this role, Sayed served as a Research Scientist at UCL from September 2018 to April 2023 and was also a Teaching Assistant and a Doctoral Student during this period. Sayed has experience as a Part-Time Researcher at Niantic, Inc. and held internships at Disney Research and Niantic, where contributions in Depth Estimation and 3D Reconstruction led to work accepted at ECCV 2022 and a pending patent. Early career experiences include software and IT internships at Valeo and Mercedes-Benz Egypt, respectively. Sayed holds a PhD in Computer Vision and Machine Learning from UCL, an MSc in Computer Graphics, Vision, and Imaging from UCL, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Cairo University.
