Robert Bouwmeester

Robert Bouwmeester has a diverse work experience in the banking industry. Robert started their career in 1991 at NIBC Bank, where they held various finance positions, including Head of Financial Accounting and Head of the Management Accounting team. In 2003, they joined NPMNA as a Director, responsible for managing and divesting a portfolio of equity investments and loans. Robert then returned to NIBC Bank in 2003 as the Head of Fund Services. Throughout their tenure at NIBC Bank, Bouwmeester took on several roles, including Director at NIBC Wealth Management, Director, and Director Information Management. Robert also served as the Head of Operations from 2010 to 2017. In 2016, they briefly joined NIBC Markets NV as a Member of the Supervisory Board. Since 2018, they have held the position of Operations Director, Corporate Banking at NIBC Bank, where they are responsible for the KYC upgrade and remediation, Operational Control, Process Improvement, and program management for the roll-out of the OakNorth platform. More recently, Bouwmeester has taken on the role of Head of Operational Risk Management at NIBC Bank.

Robert Bouwmeester completed their Master's/ drs. degree in Business Administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam in the years 1987 to 1991. Robert then pursued a MAC degree in Accounting & Control from TIAS School for Business and Society, from 1997 to 2000. Prior to that, they obtained their HTS degree in Civil Engineering from De Haagse Hogeschool/ The Hague University of Applied Sciences, from 1983 to 1987.
