Lise Dalsgaard

Research Scientist

Lise Dalsgaard has extensive work experience in the field of research and consultancy. Lise started their career as a PhD student and research scientist at the University of Copenhagen in 1999. Lise continued their PhD studies at Forest & Landscape Denmark, University of Copenhagen until 2005. In 2008, Lise worked as a consultant at The Norwegian Research Council, where they formulated and coordinated international calls for research projects on biodiversity and ecosystem services. From 2009 to 2015, they served as a research scientist at the Norwegian Forest and Landscape Research Institute, focusing on carbon uptake and emission in forests, carbon in forest soil and modeling, and climate change effects on forest growth. Since 2015, Lise has been working as a research scientist at the NIBIO Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research.

Lise Dalsgaard began their education in 1995 as a visiting graduate at The University of British Columbia, where they focused on forestry. Lise then pursued a Master of Science in Forestry from Den Kgl. Veterinær- og Landbohøjskole from 1996 to 1998. Lise later completed their education journey by obtaining a Ph.D. in Forest Ecology and Forest Hydrology from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen between 1999 and 2007.
