Guus Wieman

Guus Wieman is a Medior Onderzoeker at Nibud since October 2022, with prior experience as a PhD Researcher at the European University Institute from September 2018 to March 2023. Wieman's doctoral research focused on the history of transnational harmonization of statistical methods within the European Community, examining the political and institutional influences on this process. Additionally, Wieman served on the Committee Nederlandse Bursalen, advocating for Dutch grant recipients. Previous roles include Research Assistant at Utrecht University, where historical datasets on 20th-century socio-economic developments were constructed, and Tutor at Juffrouw Julia Hilversum, providing academic support in history and economics. Wieman holds a PhD in History and Civilization from the European University Institute, as well as a Master's and Bachelor's degree in History from Utrecht University.
