Carson Gulley has over 17 years of work experience in various roles and companies. Carson started their career as a Technician at RG Builders Inc. in July 2005, where they built and maintained the company's website. In May 2009, they transitioned to the position of Estimator, where they met with potential customers to estimate the cost and scope of home building projects.
Carson then worked as a Technical Business Analyst at NIC Tennessee from October 2009 to September 2011. In this role, they gathered and documented software requirements, validated requirements with stakeholders, and participated throughout the development lifecycle.
From September 2011 to July 2014, Carson served as a Project Manager at NIC Tennessee. Carson managed agile and waterfall projects, coordinated team efforts, controlled scope and timelines, and developed software using various technologies.
Carson's career progressed to the role of Director of Project Management at NIC Tennessee from July 2014 to April 2017. Carson oversaw project management, business analysis, and resource management, refining project processes to ensure team and partner success.
Carson then joined NIC Federal in April 2017 as a Senior Project Manager. Carson managed multiple teams for federal government websites and systems, gathering feedback, planning enhancements, and coordinating testing. Recently, their focus has shifted primarily to working with Library of Congress projects.
Most recently, Carson became the Director of Operations at NIC Inc. in March 2022. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of the organization.
Carson Gulley has a diverse education history. Carson holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Information Systems from Cumberland University and a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General, also from Cumberland University. In 2017, Carson completed their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Engineering Technology, General at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU).
In addition to their academic degrees, Carson has obtained several certifications. Carson is a Certified Scrum Master, certified by the Scrum Alliance since October 2012. Carson also holds a Lean Six Sigma - Green Belt certification from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). Carson is a Microsoft Office Specialist. Additionally, they are currently pursuing the Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
