Luc Robert

Senior Researcher at NICC/INCC

Luc Robert is a senior researcher currently working at NICC/INCC. Luc has also held positions as a Visiting Research Fellow at Ghent University and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the same institution. Luc's research focuses primarily on criminal careers of sex offenders, recidivism, decision-making processes related to prison leave, and forensic instruments. Luc has also collaborated with various institutions such as NSCR, Institute of Criminology University of Cambridge, and UMONS. Luc's educational background includes a Doctorate in Criminology from KU Leuven.

The National Institute of Forensic Sciences and Criminology is a federal scientific institution of the Belgian State under the direct authority of the Minister of Justice. The NICC/INCC, among other things, aims to serve the judicial process by making its scientific research and expertise available as a service in order to: • detect offenders and support the collection and building of proof • improve knowledge of criminal phenomena and the possible approach towards them.
