Tomonori Seta

Tomonori Seta is currently the SVP, Trade, Administration, Legal & Compliance at Nidec. Prior to this, they were the Head of Legal and Compliance at Soul of Japan K.K. from March 2021 to May 2022. Seta has also worked at SUMITOMO CORPORATION from April 1988 to December 2020 as the Assistant General Manager for their Legal, Security Trade Control Management, Mineral Resources, Energy, Chemical & Electronics Business Unit.

Tomonori Seta graduated from Hitotsubashi University with a Bachelor of Laws degree. Tomonori then pursued a Master of Laws at New York University School of Law. After obtaining their LL.M., they enrolled in a Master of Comparative Jurisprudence program at New York University School of Law. Currently, they are completing an executive program in international management at Stanford-NUS.

They work with Shingo Tsuji - VP, Production Division in Europe of Automotive Motor & Electronic Control Business Unit, Kuniyasu Tampo - SVP & Deputy Executive GM of Small Precision Motor & Solutions Business Unit, and Toru Takahashi - General Manager of Global Business Promotion & Marketing Division. Their manager is Shigenobu Nagamori, Chairman, Representative Director & CEO.
