Steven Bodnar has a diverse range of work experience as a character animator in the gaming industry. Steven is currently employed at Nightdive Studios, where they serve as a Character Animator, Tech Animator, and Cinematic Animator for the System Shock Remake. Prior to this, they worked as a Character Animator and Director on a contract/freelance basis for Flipframe Animation. Their responsibilities included prototype character rigging and animation, coordinating animators with various departments, and guiding the animation pipeline.
In 2019, Steven joined Hardsuit Labs as a Character and Cinematic Animator for the game 'Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2.' Steven worked on first-person, cinematic, and social NPC character animations, utilizing Maya and Unreal for development. Steven also contributed to the creation of animated cinematics for Stern Pinball, Inc.'s Elvira and Jurassic Park pinball machines, recreating scenes from the latter movie.
Steven's experience also includes working at Wargaming as a Character Animator, Rigger, and Scripting specialist, where they played a role in prototyping main character archetypes. Steven also spent time as a Character Animator at Human Head Studios, contributing to mocap cleanup, facial animation, and combat sequences for 'The Quiet Man.'
Additionally, Steven has worked as a Creature Animator for Mooneye Studios, animating a diverse cast of animals for the game Lost Ember. Steven briefly worked at Ghost Story Games as a Character Animator, and at Gearbox Software as both a Character Animator and Outsource Lead for the Borderlands Pre-Sequel project. At Gearbox, they were responsible for character animation, supervising contracted animation talent, rigging, and skinning.
