Vijay B. is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in leading teams focused on the secure development and deployment of artificial intelligence. Currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer at Google DeepMind since December 2019, Vijay oversees research and engineering efforts to ensure AI safety and privacy. Additionally, Vijay leads cybersecurity research initiatives addressing critical challenges with a focus on achieving artificial general intelligence. In parallel, involvement includes positions on the Government Cybersecurity Advisory Board and the AI Security Alliance Executive Committee. Previous roles include Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Blackhawk Network and Managing Principal at Mandiant. Vijay holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of California, Davis.
