Benjamin Newland

Benjamin Newland is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in law and business. As Principal and Founder of Newland Ventures LLC since May 2017, Benjamin has guided the firm's investment strategies. In December 2022, Benjamin took on the role of Chair of the Board of Directors at Nightjar Coffee Roasters, a renowned specialty coffee roastery and café in Dubai. Additionally, Benjamin serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for Athens Research & Technology, a company focused on producing high-purity proteins for critical health studies, since March 2024. Previously, Benjamin was a partner at King & Spalding LLP for nearly 16 years, following positions as a Lawyer at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton and as Co-founder and Vice President at Active.com. Academic credentials include a JD from the University of Chicago Law School and a BA in Comparative Literature from Columbia University.
