Brett Olson is a seasoned data scientist with experience in various analytical roles across prominent companies. At Best Buy, from December 2021 to August 2023, Brett developed statistical models for marketing purposes, leveraging tools such as Python, TensorFlow, Google Cloud Platform, and SAS to identify high-purchase audiences and enhance marketing strategies. Prior to Best Buy, Brett worked at LexisNexis Risk Solutions as a Data Scientist II, focusing on statistical model development for credit and fraud applications and creating an R package for collection modeling. Currently, Brett serves as Lead Data Scientist at Nike, having previously been a Data Scientist in the marketing division, where efforts are concentrated on refining Market Mix Models through exploratory data analysis and employing PyStan via Databricks. Brett holds a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from Macalester College, complemented by a study abroad program at Budapest Semesters in Mathematics.
