Dan Wakefield

Dan Wakefield is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in driving digital commerce initiatives and technology innovations within the retail sector. At Nike, Dan served in various leadership roles from January 2013 to December 2022, managing teams of engineers and overseeing more than $12 billion in consumer shopping activity across Nike's digital commerce platforms. Notable positions included Director of Technology for Nike.com and the mobile commerce app, as well as leading significant technology expansions and B2B initiatives. Prior to Nike, Dan co-founded OpenRental, developing an innovative equipment rental marketplace app, and founded YardRents, the first e-commerce platform dedicated to equipment rentals. Dan has also made contributions as a consultant to Kohls.com. Dan's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Oregon State University.
