Sara Blasing is the Vice President of Corporate Narrative Communications at Nike. Sara has over fifteen years of experience in communication and public relations.

Sara started their career as an Account Executive at Waggener Edstrom Worldwide, a global communication firm. Sara quickly rose through the ranks and became an Account Director, leading technology and healthcare communication practices in Australia.

In 2006, Sara joined Teach for America as their Communication Director. During their time there, they oversaw all aspects of communication for the organization including media relations, brand events, influencer engagement, and social media campaigns.

In 2012, Sara left Teach for America to join Buchan Consulting as their Practice Lead for the Innovation Group. Sara was responsible for business development, client satisfaction, team health and culture, strategic business planning, financial management, and forecasting KPIs.

In their current role as Vice President of Corporate Narrative Communications at Nike, Sara is responsible for developing and executing Nike’s corporate narrative across all channels. Sara oversees a team of communication professionals who work to tell Nike’s story to the world.

Sara Blasing graduated from McMinnville High School and went on to study journalism and communications at the University of Oregon, where they earned a Bachelor of Science.

They work with Kate Meyers - Vice President, Asia Pacific & Latin America Communications, Mark Rhodes - Vice President, Corporate and Employee Communications, and Marcus Wade - VP, Consumer & Marketplace Communications. Sara Blasing reports to Nigel Powell, EVP & Chief Communications Officer.
