Masamitsu Ando

Masamitsu Ando, Ph.D., is an experienced professional in the field of drug safety and biotechnology. Currently serving as Section Manager of Business Development at Nikon since November 2022, Masamitsu previously worked as Principal Scientist at Axcelead Drug Discovery Partners, Inc., following the acquisition of the MTPC section from Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Corporation, where Masamitsu held the position of Senior Research Scientist for over 20 years. With significant expertise in Drug Induced Liver Injury (DILI), Genotoxicity, and safety assessments for biopharmaceuticals, vaccines, and oligonucleotide therapeutics, Masamitsu possesses a strong academic background, including a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from The University of Tokyo.
