Avinash Kumar

Avinash Kumar is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in security and network management. Currently serving as a Founding Engineer at Nile since March 2019, Avinash brings a rich background from Cisco, where from February 2008 to February 2019, roles included Senior Technical Lead, Technical Lead, and multiple software engineering positions. Notably, Avinash led the design and implementation of the Cisco TrustSec Security Framework and played a key role in developing the Cisco Identity Services Engine. Earlier experience includes software engineering at Huawei Technologies and a brief internship at Cisco Systems. Avinash holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Visvesvaraya Technological University, supplemented by a strong foundational education in Mathematics.
