Mark McBride is a qualified accountant and a current Chair of the Northern Ireland Local Government Officers Superannuation Committee (NILGOSC), having held various positions within the organization since 2019. They are also the Junior Vice President of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) and have served as President of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) from 2016 to 2017. With a notable background in finance, Mark was the Head of Finance and Performance at Belfast City Council from 2011 to 2019 and has been recognized as a Fellow Member of the AAT and a Chartered Member of the CIPD. Currently, they chair the Trustees of the AAT Retirement Benefit Scheme and serve as a Council Member for CIPFA.
