Matthew Schofield has four years of work experience. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as a Technology Assistant and Residential Operations Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania. From 2019 to 2022, they worked as a Teach For America Corps Member and Public School Teacher at Baltimore City Public Schools. Matthew currently works as a Customer Success Specialist at Nimble. As a fourth grade English as a second language teacher at Baltimore City Public Schools, they supported students' English language acquisition in all domains of language (reading, writing, speaking, listening). Matthew also co-taught and provided push-in instruction in general content classrooms to support students' understanding of content teacher instruction. As a Teach For America Corps Member, they collaborated with teacher-leaders passionate about systemic and radical educational progress to ensure equitable instruction for all students. Matthew also engaged in conferences and workshops focused on diversity and inclusiveness, transformative education, racial identity, and other fundamental subjects.

Matthew Schofield began their educational journey at James Buchanan High School, graduating in 2015. Matthew then attended the University of Pennsylvania, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Matthew'spanic Studies and Urban Education in 2019. Matthew continued their education at Johns Hopkins University School of Education, where they are currently pursuing a Master of Science in Education. In July 2021, they obtained a Teaching License-Standard from the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE).
