Tristan Deane

Tristan Deane has worked in the software engineering, full stack development, and hospitality industries. In 2021, they worked as a Software Engineer at Nimble, where they used Django, ReactJS, and various CSS libraries to design and build scalable APIs and a delightful UI/UX that serves a 10k+ user base. Tristan also researched and designed a pre-commit git hook which resulted in a 30% reduction in CI/CD errors, and automated the annual update of the hiring season process, saving 2 story points of work for developers and thousands of dollars for the company. In 2020, they worked as a Full Stack Developer at TCA Developments, where they were solely responsible for designing and developing an inventory and checkout system to curb property theft for a million-dollar construction company. The database and API were developed with Django and consumed by a NextJS client, and JWT (JSON Web Tokens) was used to help the differing frameworks communicate. In 2014, they worked as a Server at Chop Steakhouse & Bar, where they ensured all guests had an outstanding experience by utilizing customer service techniques, employed suggestive selling techniques to increase the guest cheque average, and worked with fellow staff members to foster a positive team atmosphere.

Tristan Deane has been pursuing a Digital Media and Technology degree from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology since 2021 and is expected to graduate in 2022. In 2021, they also enrolled in the Zero To Mastery Academy. Prior to that, they attended the University of Alberta from 2012 to 2017. Additionally, they have obtained a Triplebyte Certified certification from Triplebyte in October 2022.
