Ivan Cantu

Ivan Cantu has a diverse work experience in the field of project and program management. Ivan is currently working as a Senior Technical Program Manager at Nimble Gravity since September 2022. In this role, they are responsible for developing a mobile app for the EarthRanger team, focusing on improving wildlife protection and management processes through data collection and analysis.

Before joining Nimble Gravity, Ivan worked at Pentalog as a Technical Account Manager and Project Director. From September 2021 to September 2022, they managed the contractual and commercial relationship with customers and oversaw the operational management of projects. Ivan also implemented a System of Quality Management and monitored performance indicators and goals achievement.

Prior to Pentalog, Ivan worked at Wizeline from 2018 to 2021. Ivan held various roles during this time, including Technical Delivery Manager, Technical Program Manager/Senior Scrum Master, and Technical Project Manager/Scrum Master. In these roles, they were responsible for translating project results into cost savings and improved customer satisfaction. Ivan also provided leadership and support to project and program managers, collaborated with solutions architecture and program architect teams, and managed complex business environments to deliver results for customers.

Earlier in their career, Ivan worked at Hewlett Packard Enterprise as a Financial Business Architecture Project Manager from 2016 to 2018. In this role, they led financial software projects, managed project phases, and communicated project status to stakeholders.

Ivan's work experience also includes a role at IBM as a Technical/Supply Chain Project Manager from 2010 to 2016. During this time, they managed software development projects using Agile methodologies, deployed and rolled out BMS tool suite, supported business intelligence teams, and coordinated test activities.

Ivan Cantu pursued their university education from 2005 to 2009 at ITESO Universidad Jesuita de Guadalajara. Ivan obtained a degree in Industrial Engineering during this period.

In 2013, they obtained the PMP Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute. Later, in 2016, they obtained the PMI-ACP Agile Certified Professional certification from the same institution.

In recent years, Ivan focused on expanding their technical skills. Ivan obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in March 2022. In May 2022, they obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from the same institution. Ivan also gained proficiency in programming, completing courses such as Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python) and Programming with Javascript from the University of Michigan. Ivan obtained these certifications in August and September 2022, respectively.

Furthermore, Ivan acquired expertise in version control and Git through the Curso Profesional de Git y GitHub from Platzi, which they completed in July 2021. Ivan also obtained the Professional Scrum Master certification from Scrum.org in the same month.
