John Odden

Senior Researcher

John Odden is a senior researcher at the Norwegian Institute for Nature Research (NINA), where they have focused on wildlife conservation and human-wildlife interactions since 2001. Their main research interests include the ecology and behavior of large carnivores, alongside developing monitoring methods for wildlife. John has contributed to key projects such as SCANDCAM, which studies lynx through camera traps, and Scandlynx, a consortium examining the ecology of Eurasian lynx and wolverines in Norway and Sweden. Additionally, John completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Master's degree at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and the University of Oslo, respectively, between 1989 and 1994.
