Jon Mageroy

Jon Mageroy is a researcher at NINA - Norsk institutt for naturforskning, specializing in evolution, ecology, and conservation biology, particularly focused on freshwater bivalves. They obtained a PhD in Biology from the University of Bergen, where they studied evolutionary ecology and host-parasite interactions. With experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at The University of British Columbia and a research scientist, Jon has contributed significantly to projects on mussel conservation and the ecological dynamics between freshwater species. Their work encompasses extensive collaboration in European freshwater bivalve conservation and numerous peer-reviewed publications and presentations.
