Ari Korhonen

Ari Korhonen is an accomplished angel investor and entrepreneur, founding the Lagoon Capital investment company, where they focus on investing in high-growth technology companies. With over 20 years of experience in technology entrepreneurship and 15 years as a full-time business angel, Ari led Komartek to international success before its acquisition by WM-data in 2004, where they served as Vice President. They have made angel investments in 50 companies, achieving 10 successful exits, and serve as a Senior Advisor at Spintop Ventures and Growth Partner at Evli Growth Partners. A co-founder and honorary member of the Finnish Business Angels Network, Ari was recognized as Business Angel of the Year in Finland in 2014 and received the EBAN Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015. They hold a Master's degree in Energy Engineering from LUT University and were awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Economics and Business Administration by the same institution in 2017.
