Kimmo Valtonen

Kimmo Valtonen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the fields of technology and artificial intelligence. Kimmo is currently the General Manager and CTO at NinaData, where they are responsible for the business modeling and go-to-market strategy of their AI business line. Kimmo also manages the team and provides expert guidance in front-end development, AI, and back-end architecture.

Prior to this, Valtonen held the position of CTO at Thirdpresence, where they contributed to the technological aspects of the company. Kimmo also served as the Chief Technology Officer at GetJenny, focusing on change management and preparing the company for acquisition while providing expertise in AI and back-end architecture.

Valtonen's earlier experiences include working as an Advisor at M-Brain Group, where they played a pivotal role in the growth and development of the company. Kimmo held multiple roles at M-Brain Group, including CTO of a mature Augmented Intelligence company, Acting CEO, and CTO during the initial automation and growth stage. Kimmo oversaw technical integration, built partnerships, and led the transformation of the company's technology and processes.

Before M-Brain Group, Valtonen worked at the University of Helsinki as a Researcher, where they were part of a leading research team in data analytics and information-theoretic modeling. Kimmo also served as a Lecturer and Teacher during their time at the university.

Valtonen's entrepreneurial journey includes being a Co-Founder of Ekahau, a location estimation startup that achieved a successful exit. Moreover, they co-founded Bayes Information Technology and contributed as a researcher.
