Amy Lyall is Editor of The Block site, working closely with the 9Entertainment team.
She joined the Nine Network in September 2018 as the Weekend Editor for 9Honey. It wasn't long before she moved into the role of Line-Up Editor, where she worked with both the Honey and News teams moving content across to the homepage, including editing the lifestyle section.
In her role at Honey, she covered news and lifestyle, with a focus on inspirational and light-hearted stories that Australian women enjoy reading, along with all things royals. But now working on The Block, she's focused on all things interior design, décor, homewares, renovations and DIY, which is also a big focus in her personal life too. Alongside The Block, she works across other Nine shows with a strong interest in reality TV, like Married At First Sight.
Amy grew up and went to high school on Sydney's Northern Beaches but headed out to the country to study a Bachelor of Communications at Charles Sturt University in Bathurst. After studying, she had a slight career change and spent a year working in childcare and nannying, before taking on a Master of Arts in Journalism at the University of Technology Sydney.
Before starting at Nine she was a lifestyle reporter at Kidspot where her work featured on the site and across other NewsCorp sites including news.com.au and the Daily Telegraph online. Prior to that she was a Showbiz reporter at Daily Mail Australia covering celebrity and entertainment news.
