Dane Laban

Dane Laban is a seasoned data scientist with extensive experience in both academia and industry. Currently serving as Principal Data Scientist at Nine since March 2018, Dane leads a data science team focused on developing the 9Predict audience forecast capability. Prior experience includes a role as Data Scientist at Syntagium Consulting, where analyses of building industry trends and vehicle routing optimizations were conducted, and as a Data Scientist and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Griffith University, where Dane designed an atomic physics experiment and managed data acquisition systems. Additionally, Dane has lectured on various physics topics at the university level and maintained advanced laser systems as a Research Assistant. Dane holds a Ph.D. in Atomic/Molecular Physics from Griffith University and has furthered education at Stanford University and Codecademy.
