Julie Hare

Julie Hare is the Education Editor at the Australian Financial Review, a position held since 2021. With over 20 years of experience in writing, journalism, and editing, they previously served as the higher education editor at The Australian for seven years, focusing on gender equity in universities. Julie also worked as the editor-in-chief at APN Educational Media, among other roles, and has experience as a freelance journalist. They are an honorary fellow at the University of Melbourne and have been involved with the Whitlam Institute and the Governance Institute of Australia for several years.
