Paddy Sweeney

Paddy Sweeney is an experienced sports journalist and broadcaster with a diverse background in media. Currently serving as Sports Director and Broadcast Journalist at Nine since October 2014, Paddy also contributes as a columnist for WAtoday since January 2023. Previous roles include Sports Reporter at Kalgoorlie Miner from March 2012 to October 2014, and Radio Broadcaster at 6PR Perth from January 2021 to October 2022, where Paddy presented on "Breakfast with Gareth Parker" and provided weekly sports segments on "Mornings with Gary Adshead." Additional experience includes serving as a Boundary Rider at ABC Goldfields and as a Journalist and Editor for Narrogin Observer. Paddy holds a Bachelor of Mass Communication in Communication and Media Studies from Murdoch University, obtained between 2008 and 2010, and graduated from Aquinas College WA in 2004.
