Jake Thomson

Jake Thomson, CFA, currently serves as an Investment Analyst at Ninety One since December 2021, focusing on the Sustainable Equity and Multi-Asset teams as a global generalist. Prior to this role, Jake was a Director and senior analyst at Velanne Asset Management Limited from June 2017 to November 2021, where responsibilities included team building and streamlining investment processes. Previously, from January 2013 to December 2016, Jake excelled as a leading analyst at Odey Asset Management, focusing on global industrials and oil services, and conducting in-depth research and analysis. Jake began their career at Morgan Stanley Investment Management from June 2007 to October 2012, managing Asia Pacific investment strategies and client relationships, and briefly worked as an equity analyst at Globalvest Asset Management in early 2006. Jake holds a 2:1 Master of Arts in Portuguese and Spanish Joint Honours from The University of Edinburgh.
