Joshua Columbus has a diverse range of work experience. Joshua is currently working as the Mechanical and Acoustic Technology Lead at Niricson Software Inc. In 2020, they worked as a Computer Numerical Control Machine Operator at Maximum Prototyping Inc. Prior to that, in 2019, they worked as an Emergency Water Supply Project Coordinator at Samaritan's Purse Canada, where they coordinated the supply of drinking water during the Hurricane Dorian response effort. In 2019, they also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Victoria, where they designed an ultrasonic tool holder for research on milling composite materials. In 2018, they interned as an Industrial Engineering Intern at the Department of National Defence and as a Thermodynamics, Electronics, and Fluid Dynamics Simulator at ZF Group. In 2016, they worked as a Mechanical Designer at Clean Energy Compression, and in 2015, they worked as a Project Manager at ANDRITZ. Joshua also has experience as a Tent Installer at The Tent Guys in 2014 and as an Electrical Apprentice at North Cascades Electrical in 2013.

Joshua Columbus attended the University of Victoria from 2014 to 2019, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering with a Co-op program.
