Katie MacIntosh

Photogrammetrist and Geospatial Team Lead at Niricson

Katie MacIntosh has extensive work experience in various research and administrative roles. Katie started their career as a Field Research Assistant at the University of Alberta's Kluane Red Squirrel Project in 2012. Katie then worked as a Laboratory & Field Technician at the University of British Columbia's Stream Ecology Lab from 2014 to 2015, where they assisted in field experiments and managed data processing. In 2016, Katie became a Research Assistant in the Tundra Ecology Lab at the University of British Columbia, a role they held until 2017. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as a Pre-Construction Administrator at Smallworks Studios - Laneway Housing Inc. Katie'smost recent work experience includes being a Research Assistant at the University of British Columbia, where they determined the rate of sediment production of the Fraser River and processed historical air photographs. Since 2021, Katie has been working at Niricson, starting as a Photogrammetrist and later becoming the Geospatial Team Lead.

Katie MacIntosh earned their Bachelor's degree in Geography from The University of British Columbia, completing their studies from 2015 to 2021.
