Liam Pedersen is the chief scientist at Nissan's Advanced Technology Center - Silicon Valley. They have extensive experience in the field of robotics, having served as a senior robotics researcher at NASA Ames Research Center from 2001 to 2014 and as a principal researcher focused on driverless vehicles. Prior to their current role, they held leadership positions at Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi and Nissan Motor Company, where they worked on advancing autonomous mobility. Liam earned a Ph.D. in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University and also holds an M.S.E.E. in Robotics and Automation from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science from Rhodes University.
