Nathan Pifko

Nathan Pifko has over 20 years of experience in the field of technology and networking. Nathan currently serves as a Senior Network Engineer at Nitel, starting in February 2022. Prior to this, Nathan worked as the Chief Information Officer for Deep Blue Data from February 2016 to February 2022. In this role, they were responsible for implementing managed service and cloud solutions, managing IT engineering teams, and recommending technical solutions for clients.

Before Deep Blue Data, Nathan worked at Nitel as a Product Manager from October 2012 to January 2016. Here, they developed and formalized product development policies and reorganized product offerings based on customer feedback.

Earlier in their career, Nathan was a Product Engineer IV at Comcast from October 2010 to October 2012. Nathan was responsible for capacity planning and sustaining engineering for national Comcast Business Class Voice products.

Additionally, Nathan worked at CIMCO Communications as a Sr. Network Engineer from August 2005 to October 2010. During this time, they planned and implemented the conversion of IP infrastructure and optimized routing for MPLS VPNs.

Prior to that, Nathan held the position of IT Specialist at Loop Data from 2004 to 2005. Here, they designed and implemented Microsoft SQL Server and Exchange Server solutions, developed and operated a PHP/MySQL website, and provided technical support.

Before Loop Data, Nathan worked at Adivi as a Lead Technologist from 2002 to 2004. Nathan developed and operated IT services for small businesses, rebuilt company data centers, and provided onsite support.

Furthermore, Nathan worked at Signal Corporation as a Network Engineer Level II from July 2000 to October 2002. Nathan monitored and maintained a national ATM network and implemented network monitoring and traffic analysis tools.

Lastly, Nathan served as a Network Engineer at CoreComm Ltd. from 1998 to 2000. Nathan administered network infrastructure and optimized routing configurations using BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF protocols. Nathan also developed scripts for configuration management and network monitoring.

Nathan Pifko completed their undergraduate education from 1998 to 2002 at the Illinois Institute of Technology, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering.
