Nitro Swimming
Michael O'Connor is an experienced swim coach with a history of leadership roles in swim programs, notably at Nitro Swimming since September 2012 and previously at Cold Spring Harbor Beach Club and Northport Yacht Club from January 2008 to January 2012, where Michael managed large teams of young swimmers. In addition to coaching, Michael has a background in research, having served as a DAAD-RISE Scholar at the Institute for Soil Science at Universität Hamburg in 2011, focusing on the impact of climate change on peatlands. Michael holds a Master's degree in Hydrogeology from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor's degree in Geology/Earth Science and Music from Amherst College.
