James Strack

Director of Research & Development at Nix Sensor

James Strack has work experience in two companies. From 2014 to present, they have been working at Nix Sensor Ltd. as the Director of Research & Development. Their responsibilities include developing and testing a portable low-cost colour sensor for consumer and industrial use, constructing and testing prototype hardware, investigating device calibration schemes, and developing mobile app/SDK in Java and Objective-C.

Prior to that, from 2010 to 2015, they worked at McMaster University as a Teaching Assistant and later as the Chief Technical Officer.

James Strack's education history includes a Bachelor of Engineering Management degree in Engineering Physics from McMaster University, obtained between the years 2005 and 2010. Following this, they pursued a Master of Applied Science degree in Engineering Physics from the same university, completing their studies between 2010 and 2013. Finally, James successfully completed their academic journey with a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Engineering Physics from McMaster University, which was attained between 2013 and 2019.
